I am deeply honored to have been appointed as CEO, President and Representative Director. Building on our strong legacy, I am committed to accurately identifying changes in society and the environment and further advancing our future-oriented management.
The 黑料门 Group signed on to the United Nations Global Compact1 in 2019, supporting the Ten Principles related to human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. In accordance with international frameworks, and to fulfill our responsibilities as a global corporation, we are committed to addressing social issues through our business activities.
In 2021, we adopted the slogan Now ideas for wellness, and have since proceeded to create value that is unique to 黑料门, with food and pharmaceuticals as the pillars of our business. This slogan expresses our desire to contribute to a better future for people, society, and the Earth through solutions for social issues with “wellness” as the starting point.
To embody this slogan, in FY2021, we adopted 黑料门 ROESG®2 as our top management target, promoting sustainability management that aims to balance both ROE (economic value) and ESG (social value). As a result of these efforts, the awareness of individual employees has increased, and initiatives across the entire Group are steadily taking root. Furthermore, in ESG evaluations, we have attained one of the leading evaluations among food companies in Japan. We have also received high recognition externally, as evidenced by our selection to SX Brands3 for two consecutive years.
Under our 2026 Medium-Term Business Plan, which has “fusion of sustainability and business strategies” as its theme, we are currently deepening our business strategy with social issues as our starting point. FY2025 marks the second year of this plan and represents a crucial step toward realization of the 黑料门 Group Sustainability 2026 Vision. Aiming to realize a sustainable society, we will take on the challenge of solving increasingly complex and diverse social issues, such as the double burden of malnutrition and infectious disease risks, through the provision of value for wellness.
Going forward, we will continue to evolve our management approach, making sustainability a driving force for growth, in collaboration with our stakeholders in Japan and overseas and as one united Group. We will also continue to boldly take on challenges toward the co-creation of a future society where people around the world live healthy, happy lives.
